Amla, England’s James Anderson and Alastair Cook, Australia's Michael Clarke,
India's MS Dhoni and Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara have all been short-listed
for the top honours at this year’s ICC Awards.
The six have been short-listed for the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the ICC
Cricketer of the Year, with the awards to be announced in a TV show that will be
broadcast on December 14.
Amla is ranked second overall on the ICC's list of the top Test batsmen, as
well as being ranked fourth on the list of top ODI batsmen.
