Fans 100% behind Igesund

Cape Town - Sport24 readers have given SAFA a resounding thumbs-up after their decision to appoint Gordon Igesund as the new coach of Bafana Bafana.

Some people felt that SAFA's mandate for Gordon Igesund to earn 2014 Soccer World Cup qualification AND a semi-final berth at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations were a bit unreasonable, while others were worried that the decision had been left too late.

Last time we even played in the competition was in 2008. At this point I would just be happy to make it to the quarters of Afcon and we would be lucky to even make it to Brazil 2014 considering how behind we are in the qualifiers."
- Cyrus

"It's a pity that he has been left with a ticking bomb by Pitso."
