Get the batsmen to man up- they already had 2 chances and apart from AB they did not.
They are earning fat salaries are they not and Smith said it was the pitch- so why worry they will bat perfectly all right in PE. BTW I think the decision to bowl first was the first sign of avoiding batting rather than wanting to bowl...how is that for an explanation for Smith's mistake? (as indicated in his own admission).
