Did Oscar murder Reeva?

It’s a difficult question. Obviously he shot her and she’s dead now. There are no disputing those facts.

Did he mistake her for a burglar?

Possibly. In this case he is guilty of criminal stupidity. The
fact is he will in all likelihood still see have to do some sort of sentence for his actions. You can’t just go around firing your gun just because you suspect there to be a burglar near.

You may think me naive but I really doubt it was premeditated murder. To me that doesn’t make any sense. Who flies off the handle in the heat of the moment, kills someone then calls emergency and the police. If they know they are guilty they usually try to cover it up first.

So far there has been no so called smoking-gun, anything to suggest there was an argument, a fight or anything that could have set Oscar off to use deadly force.
