All of the visits I have made to the Cape town cricket grounds (too many to count) dating back to the Benson and hedges domestic series., I have found the games not only extremely well supported but also the crowds are very cricket wise and acknowledge good play. The Newlands crowds show their unwavering support for the national team. Why the venue is overlooked for the summer series of the ODI Cup holders only boggles the mind. Has the Paarl venue even been considered?
