Cape Town - Sport24 readers have backed Willie le Roux to start at fullback for the Springboks against the Wallabies in Brisbane in their next Rugby Championship match on Saturday, September 7.
The fullback appeared a little suspect under the high-ball against Argentina in Mendoza in the Springboks' 22-17 win and was one of many Boks who was below par in an error-prone performance.
However, Sport24 readers have backed the fullback to be given another chance against the Wallabies.
Zane Kirchner, who was recently drafted into the Bok squad for the Springboks' Australasian leg of the Rugby Championship, remains the least favoured option in the squad for the role.
In Sport's online poll, over half of Sport24 readers preferred the Cheetahs outside back to start in the No 15 position.
Sport24 asked:
"Who would you like to see playing fullback for the Springboks?"
These were the results:
53% - Willie le Roux
35% - Patrick Lambie
8% - Someone else
4% - Zane Kirchner
