Cape Town - Sport24 readers have raised question marks over whether the Springbok bench is strong enough to support the starting XV, with the selection of Wynand Olivier and Bjorn Basson drawing criticism in particular.
The ommission of Stormers speedster Gio Aplon also drew considerable disbelief.

Here's what Sport24 readers had to say about Heyneke Meyer's replacements for the second Test against England at Coca-Cola Park:
"Replacing Lambie on the bench with Basson is plain stupid. Lambie is versatile providing cover at 10 and 15 and in a pinch 12." - Kevin
"Still cant help feeling an Aplon kind of utility player off the bench is needed!" - Jason
"I like the team except for Wynand Olivier, Bjorn Basson." - Kirsten Spangenborg
"How does Basson get the nod ahead of Mvovo?! He's obviously the right colour... blue!" - Blake
"Lambie the right choice at fullback for the squad but there are now two weak links on the bench." - Claude
"Wynand Olivier? Not a great fan..." - WM
"Being a Bulls supporter I should welcome this decision, but to me Aplon is a much better choice!! He can do everything Basson can and still bring in the X Factor!" - Thomas
"what the heck is meisiekind still doing there?" - Zoolie
"I am sure the whole of SA are still confused by Olivier." - Gareth
"I do not rate Basson at all!" Hehehe
"Let's hope Bjorn stays on the bench this week..."
"Bjorn cannot cover fullback, his kicking and defense are average." - Byron
"Then why call up Aplon to join the side?" - Frank Williams
"Wynand Olivier is Heyneke Meyer's Ricky January." - Limthembekoppies
"If Bjorn Basson was picked instead of Gio Aplon based on size, that's ridiculous! He is only 3kg's heavier." - Michael
"A little worried about the Bok bench, but Heyneke is 1 from 1 and until he loses I am 100% behind him." - Harley
