Schumacher in soccer role?

Cologne - Seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher could be a candidate to become the next president of Bundesliga soccer club Cologne.

German news agency dapd says Schumacher is one of about 20 names put forward for the position by an adviser to the club.

However, Schumacher's spokesperson Sabine Kehm says "we don't want to comment on these mind games."

Cologne is looking for a successor to Wolfgang Overath, who stepped down on November 13 after seven years in the job.

Schumacher is a friend of Lukas Podolski, who plays for Cologne.
