IndyCar driver Justin Wilson dies

Los Angeles - English IndyCar driver Justin Wilson died in hospital on Monday, a day after suffering serious head injuries during a race.

"This is a monumentally sad day for IndyCar and the motorsports community as a whole," said Mark Miles, chief executive of IndyCar series parent company Hulman and Co.

Wilson, 37, had been in a coma after being struck by debris during Sunday's IndyCar Series race at Pocono Speedway.
