Madonna di Campiglio - Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali has rejected the idea of a "dream team" of Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.
Vettel won his third successive Formula One championship last season, edging out Alonso into second place, just as he had done in 2010.
Speaking at Ferrari's annual winter retreat in the Italian Dolomites on Wednesday, Domenicali says "a dream team is something extraordinary if it is managed well and if things work. At the moment it's not our aim, we have to maximise the balance of the team, we have to be more prudent."
Alonso's team-mate, Felipe Massa, was given a new one-year deal after improving in the second half of last season.
Domenicali says Massa "is the driver we want... I'm certain he will perform as he wants to do, for himself and us."
