London - Tiger Woods described Seve Ballesteros as one of the most talented and exciting golfers to have played the game in a warm tribute to the Spanish five-times major winner who died on Saturday.
Video: Seve's amazing career"I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Seve Ballesteros," Woods, the American former world number one, said on Twitter.
"I always enjoyed spending time with him at the Champions dinner each year at the US Masters. Seve was one of the most talented and exciting golfers to ever play the game.
"His creativity and inventiveness on the golf course may never be surpassed. His death came much too soon."
Ballesteros died on Saturday at the age of 54 after a long battle with cancer.
