Tiger's divorce off?

2010-01-28 12:01

London - Golfing superstar Tiger Woods’s wife, Elin Nordegren, has reportedly called off her divorce from the world No 1, according to a new report.

The RadarOnline website has claimed Nordegren may be trying to save their marriage having reportedly visited her husband at a sex rehab clinic in Mississippi last week.

“When she returned, she was in an upbeat mood and seemed to be in a better light than she had been in the past few weeks,” said Chris Myers, senior executive editor of RadarOnline.

“We have sources that say Elin and Tiger do want to work things out, and that they are talking and there is hope that the marriage will be saved,” he added.

why does tiger not just get some more wives if he is unhappy?

  • CH - 2010-01-28 12:34

Way to go girl, divorce is usually done under emotions. We all make mistakes (big and small). If he is ready to work things and he apologised, then you doing the right thing to save your marriage. All those bitter divorcees will tell you to go on and divorce him. Yes, he may deserve it, but you have a choice. Shame the devil and the chances are you will save many marriages in the world in future. I'm not saying this is a ticket for men to mess up and then show your women the presedence already set, but if you can work things out and repent, then why divorce. Tell him, when his blood rushes somewhere, he must rush home to his love. I hope things work out well and build your family.

@ Sipho - He could if he wanted but then his current wife would take half of his fortune +-$300 million, so its in his interest to do whatever she wants. Personally I think she is an idiot if she takes him back.

Good on you Elin, marriage is like scrambled eggs. it gets even more scambled when you also have children! It will be impossible to unscramble the relatioship and bonds! Fortunately a person who is willing and committed can be helped to be a better partner and human being when they embrace and understand the freedon true repentance can bring. Tiger is by no means beyond redemption, and Elin is the most vital restorative tool both Tiger and the children have.

For a couple of Million $ - I would also stay with him. You go girl - Take his money -

  • KillerStone - 2010-01-28 13:06

True woman if she is not devorcing. She is thinking about children future here and didnt put herself front and controlled by emotions. Way to go Elin. In short Tiger will respect you for life if you can sort things out.

  • GVA - 2010-01-28 13:08

He should rather divorce and pay the price! She will never forgive him or let him forget his indiscretions. Woman have a way of making your life a living hell once they got you by the balls. I talk from experience.

  • Riaan - 2010-01-28 13:11

Maybe she's not getting 300 million bucks

  • GP - 2010-01-28 13:12

"Money, money, money - it must be funny - in a rich man's world. " Some song like that. Just wonder if Tiger was the normal average Joe with a normal income if Elin would have 1. married him 2. try to save the marriage. Nope, doesn't add up. Money buys everything.

  • chez - 2010-01-28 13:19

Yes KILLERSTONE, good idea; stay together "for the sake of the children". They will love being raised in a home with tension, mistrust and fighting. Great logic. Why should she care if he respects her? Clearly he doesn't now! @GVA; what do you expect your wife to do dumb#ss.

  • pete - 2010-01-28 13:44

Hell Tiger! You have one incredible woman there if she is prepared to work on your marriage. We always say to do the right things for the sake of the kids, and the two of you must work out the issues and new implemented structures. You could be the once hero again if you can fully commit to your family. Seek help and advice whenever needed and remain faithful. You are doing the right thing!!!

  • Rob - 2010-01-28 13:59

Watch all the divorcees start chirping now... Elin if you can save the marriage and love him then good on you for trying to make it work. Marriage is a covenant before God. Pity most people don't understand the true meaning of that.

  • Mr Growler - 2010-01-28 14:26

Tiger should pay her off and get on with his life. He should never have married a poor domestic worker in the first place. His wealth is still immense and there is still plenty of time to cash in. Tiger has done the marriage and kids thing and it's clearly not all it's cracked up to be. Tiger will still be able to see his kids regularly having his own jet and all. Tiger should axe the "Mr Perfect" image and stick with his bad boy antics. There are thousands of attractive woman that will bang Tiger for his fame and fortune. He has got punda on tap and should go and live the dream for a couple of years and get it out of his system.

  • sportsbabe - 2010-01-28 14:57

Tjo, this woman....she's a real fool for love (or she's simply a gold-digger who 'll later sight irreconcilable differences when she stands to gain over a billion in a divorce settlement...300 million probably doesn't cut it!!!! ). At her age, she can still get another man, who'll be loyal to her & only her. Okay, maybe he won't be as wealthy as Tiger Woods. I think she's dumb for going back after her philandering husband bedded +/- 13 other women. Is she not scared of contracting STD's, gosh her dignity, pride....does she not have any...ja neh, the love of money!!!!!

  • Stirrer - 2010-01-28 15:26

She looks like a real hard @@@ch that one, money grabbing and not capable of truely giving love, thats why Tiger had to go elsewhere, she wont change he would be better off alone, she has already used his children against him, as Sipho said, get anatha one. You can afford another "Trophy wife" Tiger . Without Tiger she is nothing.

  • Lily White - 2010-01-28 16:30

Maybe she truly loves him and believes he can change. Therefore affording him a second chance. As should all of us who profess to loving Tiger should do.

  • Not convinced - 2010-01-28 19:06

Good on her for trying to save the marriage and good on Tiger for taking steps to try. BUT, you can't change a person and a minimum of 14 other relationships is not something one can look past. Each to their own and hope it works out for them but my opinion: "Jy's maal meisie......"

  • Tagged - 2010-01-28 22:06

Here is the solution for poor old Tiger. Leave the USA and become a South African citizen. Then change his name to Tiger Woods-Zuma and marry as many wives as he wants to. With all his money he could probably have 20 and he would'nt have to go to a sex rehab clinic.

  • ouch - 2010-01-28 22:43

So tell me again, who has been sticking his golf club in every hole or who has been to a rehab clinic, so now it’s Elins fault, she’s the money grabber, she’s the unloving hard nose bit** The girl deserves a medal for trying to hold the marriage and family together he does not deserve her .He might be a great golfer but his morals stink she should wrap that golf stick around both his necks.

  • Steve - 2010-01-29 02:41

Maybe he is a sex addict but maybe Elin is just useless in bed forcing him to go astray.

  • Last man standing - 2010-01-29 08:49

Guys for once we need to be optimistic and try to forget the past that took there's bigger things in life than this. Yes Tiger disgraced his wife and now that she is willing to forgive him its good not just for their kids but for their reputations as well. Erlin wanted to divorce Tiger and we had big mouths, now she wants to go back to him we still having a big mouth about it. Not to be rude or something but as much as Bafana Bafana needs our support the same applies to Tiger and Erlin - only our support can change them instead of criticising. If Unisa can have a criticising course i'm sure that many people can get higher degrees
