Tiger skips daughter's party

California - After vowing he would never miss one of his children's birthdays, Tiger Woods spent his daughter's third birthday in California was she was home in Florida.

Tiger Woods's golf game may be getting back on track following his performance at this weekend's US Open, but his personal life is still a mess.

Radar Online reports that the golfer was in California while his daughter, Samantha, celebrated her third birthday at home in Florida.

Tiger had previously stated in a press conference following his stint in rehab that one of his biggest regrets was missing his son's birthday.

"Because of the time frame of it, I missed my son's first birthday and that hurts. That hurts a lot and I vowed I'd never miss another one after that," the golfer stated. It seems like most of Tiger's promises, he failed to follow through.

There had been speculation Samantha would be flown out to California with a nanny for her big day, but that never happened.

Tiger was back in Florida on Monday luckily and spent the day with his daughter.

He may also be playing dad to a new son soon if paternity tests prove him to be the father of the child of former mistress Devon James.

Which nanny was going to be chosen to take the little girsl to dad? A sixt-something year old one, otherwise a younder one risked being prawled on......

Petty, sensationalist reporting. Very disappointing that we have to be exposed to this drivel on a Sports website. Focus on his ability as a sportsman and not on his personal life, it is irrelevant.

It's hard to foretell the future...he might have had other obligations, hence he spent the entire Monday with Samantha. It simply says that she was always on his number-1 list!!!

Rediscovered his performance enhancing drugs. Hey Eldrick why don't you just fade into the woodwork?

We are not interested in this k@k. Put you gossip somewhere else.

Why don't you put your name on this article so that we can judge you.You are a faceless idiot that writes rubbish with no real facts.

For goodness sake, the man was playing the US Open, which happens to be his job and happened to take place in California this year. If he and his wife were still together the child would have been in California too. They are seperated, like so many other parents. I don't particularly like him as a person, but give him a break.

Thousands of fathers occasionally miss a childs birthday or scholl function because they have to be at work. It's not pleasant but it happens. Why does Tiger have to have it mentioned in the papers? This is not 'Sports ' journalism, in fact it's not journalism at all.

  • TheOne - 2010-06-24 13:53

Just leave the guy alone. People dont need to know about this. Can bet you more than a million fathers will miss their childs birthday this year. Idiot of an editor who decided to post this report.
