Florida - Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident - they were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren, according to a conversation Woods had on Friday after the accident.

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol, but according to the TMZ website, Tiger had a conversation on Friday detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant and tree.

According to TMZ: We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face. We're told it was then that Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV, but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We're told Woods became "distracted", thought the vehicle had stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We're also told Woods had said during the conversation on Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

Live by the sword, then die by the sword. If a woman want to get punchy and try and assault a man with dangerous weapons like a golf club, they deserve a hiding. While I do not advocate domestic violence, I would like to see "16 days of activism against women bitching and moaning". I bet the beatings would come to a complete standstill and the world would be a happier place.

ROFLMAO - my take after the news broke: his wife let rip and laid into him AND his car with his 'Big Bertha' - (hope she did a lot of damage ;D) - the headline: Tiger Clubbing takes on a whole new perspactive!!!

What did the tiger see in this face....nothing striking about her; I mean literally?

Are women allowed to be violent? For the sake of FIGHT AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILD ABUSE,please charge the women for the following:- 1) assault 2) damage to property 3)abuse(if possible),to teach her a lesson that women are not above the law.

You all find this to funny? Let me remind you, we are observing the 16 days against domestic violence. So what if Tiger decided to fight back, would you all still find it funny? Just as no man should have no excuse to beat up his wife, the same should apply to the wife. You really should be ashamed of yourselves

That nothing man ! Just a domestic fight at least he is not a wife beater like you get in this Country !! He rather left and let her cool down. Just because he is famous and has a small accident which could have happened to any one of us, the whole world media is on his case! Leave wellknown people alone and get your own lives in order. Tiger has also been somebody of impeccable behaviour. So the they are also just normal people with normal lives and because he has got a talent for golf everybody thinks he does not have a normal life. It is the case unfortunately, they cannot have normal lives because the damn media is always looking to make a big story of nothing. How many wives were beaten up here in South Africa by men in the last two days. He is not one of those ! He did not run away either, he decided to leave before things get out of hand. He did not take up a golf club. He is a Gentleman through and through.

more than one hole in one...can't see the woods for the trees. A club too far and there's never a fire hydrant when you need one!!!

1st thing my missus said when she heard it happened on the way out of his house was "there must've been a huge fight - only reason a man would leave in such a hurry!" Seems she may well be right, Makes sense though, how else could one leave home so quickly< Even a few drinks too many couldn't produce this sort of result. Tiger, if you are being naughty, better fix things and behave methinks, this is no way to go.

Oh, big surprise. The whole story was obvious from the moment it hit the headlines his morning. "Wife had to break SUV window with golf club?" Yeah, right. After a 5mph crash. Prescription medication? How many times have we heard that one before.
