Tiger drops out of Top 50

Berlin - Tiger Woods is out of the world's Top 50 for the first time in almost 15 years, the latest golf rankings released on Monday show.

Woods is 51st in the Official World Gold Ranking which continues to be led by Englishman Luke Donald.

Woods, 35, had been in the top 50 for 778 weeks since October 1996, with 623 spent as number one.

However the American, the winner of 14 majors, has not won since the 2009 Australian Masters.

Donald starts his 19th week as world number one, with fellow Englishman Lee Westwood second and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, winner of this year's US Open, third.
