Cape Town - Jamie Donaldson started 2018 in the best way possible by hitting an ace at the South African Open at Glendower Golf Club on Thursday.
Using a 9-iron, the Welshman aced the par-3, 14th hole in the opening round of the tournament.
The 42-year-old broke a eight European Tour tournament hole-in-one drought and sadly, no prize was involved.
He carded a first round of two-under-par 70, five shots behind joint leaders, American Chase Koepka and local favourite Branden Grace.
In 2013, Donaldson famously recorded a hole-in-one in the opening round of the Masters at Augusta National.
