Scott boosts Oz Open field

Sydney - Former winner and world number seven Adam Scott will join Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson at this year's Australian Open in Sydney, organisers said on Thursday.

The Australian, with Woods' former caddie Steve Williams on his bag, won the Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio earlier this month with a final-round 65 for a four-stroke victory over Luke Donald and Rickie Fowler.

"To claim the Stonehaven Cup in one of the biggest years of Australian golf would be an unbelievable achievement," Scott, the 2009 champion, said.

Also confirmed for the tournament are world number 15 Bubba Watson, defending champion Geoff Ogilvy and rising Australian star and world number eight Jason Day.

The OneAsia co-sanctioned Australian Open, at The Lakes Golf Club from November 10-13, will be staged the week before the President's Cup at Royal Melbourne.
