Poulter seeks Asian treble

Seoul - England's Ian Poulter is hoping to complete a hat-trick of Asian wins when he plays the Ballantine's Championship in South Korea next week.

Poulter, who finished seventh at this month's US Masters, said he hoped to add the European and Asian Tour title to his previous victories in Hong Kong and Singapore.

"I always enjoy going to the Far East and that is reflected in my performances, as I've had some great results in that part of the world," said Poulter, in comments released by organisers on Friday.

"I've won in Hong Kong (the 2010 Hong Kong Open) and Singapore (the 2009 Singapore Open), and it would be great to add Korea to that list at the Ballantine's Championship."

Defending champion Lee Westwood, the world number three, British Open winner Darren Clarke, Adam Scott and Paul Casey will also be in the field at Blackstone Golf Club near Seoul from April 26-29.
