Cape Town - Tiger Woods' long-time agent Mark Steinberg has confirmed that the former world number one is on track to make his comeback at the Hero World Challenge, starting on December 1.
Woods - who has slipped to world number 861 - was set for a return at the Safeway Open in October but withdrew at the eleventh hour. Due to the relatively soft reason, the late withdrawal has become known as somewhat of a 'psych out'.
Nonetheless, Steinberg is adamant Woods will be mentally and physically fit in two weeks time for his home event.
"(He's) getting after it a bit more, continuing to work toward that goal and excited to get back out there and compete, see the guys and be in the locker room instead of being an assistant captain," Steinberg told ESPN.
"The determination is still there. We've still got two weeks to go, but he is doing the things necessary to get himself as ready as he can be, but it's going to be 15 months since the last time he played competitively."
