Rose up to third in rankings

London - Justin Rose is up to a career-best third in the world rankings following his win in the Scottish Open on Sunday.

The Englishman secured back-to-back tournament wins with a final round of 65 at Royal Aberdeen.

He won the Quicken Loans title at Congressional on the USPGA Tour in his previous outing.

Ahead of Rose remain top ranking Australian Adam Scott with Henrik Stenson of Sweden in second.

Tiger Woods, who will tee off in the British Open at Hoylake on Thursday for his first major of the year, slides down to seventh.
