SA’s Grace shines at year’s final major

Cape Town - Branden Grace carried the South African flag at the year’s fourth and final golf major.

Grace shot a three under par 67 in Sunday's final round to finish tied for fourth in the PGA Championship at Baltusrol, Springfield.

He closed on nine under par, five shots behind champion Jimmy Walker from America.

Louis Oosthuizen (-4) was the next best South Africa, finishing tied for 22nd. He was followed by Charl Schwartzel (-2, tied for 42nd), George Coetzee (+1, tied for 60th) and Ernie Els (+2, tied for 66th).

Brandon Stone and the South African-born Johan Kok had earlier missed the cut.
