Oosthuizen soars in rankings

Johannesburg - Louis Oosthuizen has rocketed eight places up the world golf rankings after finishing second in the Masters, while fellow South African Charl Schwartzel has dropped out the top 10.

Oosthuizen climbed eight places to 19th in the latest rankings released on Sunday after he lost out to American Bubba Watson on the second hole of a playoff at Augusta.

Schwartzel, the defending champion, finished 18 shots off the pace, falling four positions to 12th in the global list.

Watson, meanwhile, rose 12 places to fourth, while Luke Donald, who was 13 strokes behind the leaders at Augusta, retained spot spot.
