Olazabal joins Hall of Fame

Florida - Jose Maria Olazabal, Christy O'Connor and Lanny Wadkins were inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Monday.

Two-time Masters winner Olazabal finished his career with an impressive 18-8-2 record in Ryder Cup play. He captured the 1999 and 1994 Masters.

Wadkins career was highlighted by victories in the 1979 Players Championship and the 1977 PGA Championship. He won 21 PGA Tour tournaments and 20 Ryder Cup matches.

O'Connor won 24 times on the European Tour and previously held the record for most appearances in the Ryder Cup. The 84-year-old O'Connor was unable to travel from his home in Ireland to Florida because of poor health.
