Cape Town - Masters winner Charl Schwartzel has surpassed long-time SA No 1, Ernie Els, as the country's top ranked golfer.

Schwartzel jumped from 29th in the world to 11th in the latest world rankings following his dramatic two-stroke victory at Augusta on Sunday.

Former world No 1 and three-time Major winner, Els, slipped to 14th, with Retief Goosen (22nd) and reigning British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen (28th) the other SA players in the Top 30.
