Johannesburg - Branden Grace says he looks forward to the prestigious Volvo Golf Champions tournament this week after opening doors with a one-stroke victory in the Joburg Open at the weekend.
Grace will tee it up with seven other South African golfers as part of a world-class field in the European Tour event in George starting on Thursday.
"One of my main goals in winning the Joburg Open was to be able to get into the Volvo Golf Champions," Grace said on Monday.
"I really wanted to play in that event."
With a maiden victory under his belt, Grace, who grew up in George, was looking forward to playing in front of his home crowd this week.
"Everybody has been asking if I'm playing in the Volvo Golf Champions, and now after my victory I can tell them, 'Yes, definitely'," he said.
"That's a nice feeling. This is a dream come true for me.
"I'm thrilled and proud to be part of a really tough field.
"The Joburg Open win was life changing. To get into the Volvo Golf Champions is the icing on the cake."
