Elin 'opts for £200m divorce'

Orlando - Tiger Woods will be divorced by his wife within weeks, according to several reports out of America.

According to the UK's Mirror website, friends claim his “cheesy” TV advert was the “final straw” for ex-model Elin Nordegren.

In addition, she refused to watch his golfing comeback at the Masters at Augusta National and flew out of Florida alone just after he returned home.

Elin, 30, is said to be “violently angry” over the Nike advert shown on the ESPN sports channel prior to the tournament. The black and white advert features a silent Woods listening to the voice of his dad Earl.

“Elin was violently angry over this commercial and thought it a cheesy thing to do,” one friend told People magazine in the US.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if she files for divorce sometime soon.”

TV show Entertainment Tonight also claimed the five-year marriage is “definitely over” and said Elin is finalising a divorce that could see her get £200 million.

An Entertainment Tonight correspondent, who has links to the Woods camp, said: “Sources have told me the marriage is over.”

Tiger had rehab at a sex addiction clinic in a bid to save his marriage after he was linked to as many as 12 women, including porn stars.

But one friend of Elin’s said: “She’s so far beyond hurt now... she’s numb.

“She just doesn’t care any more.”
