Dustin Johnson out of Masters
2012-04-03 19:14
Augusta - Dustin Johnson has withdrawn from the Masters with an injury.
Johnson, who lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a five-time PGA Tour winner who is No 12 in the world. It would seem his length is a good fit for the Masters, though he has not finished better than a tie for 30th in three previous trips to Augusta National.
Details of his injury were not disclosed. His agent did not immediately return a phone call.
Johnson's withdrawal means the field at the Masters is down to 96 players. The Masters does not have an alternate list.
