The 48th-ranked Briton completes the field for the May 17-20 event at the Finca Cortesin golf course.

Casey says the tournament's format suits him, especially since he is out to impress Ryder Cup captain Jose Maria Olazabal.

The 24-man field in the Spanish city of Casares features 15 of the world's top 60 golfers, including Sergio Garcia, Darren Clarke, Martin Kaymer, Charl Schwartzel, Graeme McDowell, Paul Lawrie and Retief Goosen.
