Rain delays Sri Lanka-West Indies T20

Pallekele - Rain delayed the start of the first Twenty20 international between Sri Lanka and the West Indies in Pallekele on Monday.

Covers were on the outfield and the pitch at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium as the rain continued to come down at the match's scheduled start time of 19:00 (15:30 SA Time).

The two-match T20 series comes after Sri Lanka swept the three-match one-day international series 3-0. The third ODI was also interrupted by rain.

Sri Lanka won the preceding Test series without loss, taking it 2-0.
