Cape Town - Former Proteas fast bowler Makhaya Ntini is in line for a coaching position with Zimbabwe’s national cricket team.
According to the Zim Sports News website, Ntini is in talks with Zimbabwe Cricket with the view of him becoming bowling coach of the national team.
Zimbabwe’s recent poor form has prompted the country’s cricket bosses to strengthen the backroom staff available to head coach Dav Whatmore.
Apart from gaining the services of Ntini, Zimbabwe Cricket is believed to also be on the hunt for a batting coach as well as a specialist spinning coach.
Ntini, 38, played 101 Tests for South Africa, taking 390 wickets at an average of 28.82.
He also featured in 173 ODIs and 10 T20Is.
