India down Bangladesh to claim Asia Cup

Dhaka - India beat Bangladesh by eight wickets to win the Asia Cup Twenty20 cricket title on Sunday, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer, with 60 off 44 balls, as India reached 122-2 in 13.5 overs after restricting Bangladesh to 120-5.

The match was reduced to 15-over-a-side affair after storms delayed play by two hours.

Mahmudullah Riyad struck an unbeaten 33 off 13 balls to set up Bangladesh's total.
