Johannesburg - Reeza Hendricks and Mangaliso Mosehle are the high-profile new faces in the Highveld Lions squad named for the 2016/17 season.

The 26-year-old Hendricks, who made his first-class debut almost a decade ago, joins from the Knights where he has spent his entire franchise cricket career.

The right-handed opener had been a fixture for the Central Franchise over the years.

Hendricks has over 10 000 runs across all three formats of the game and has represented the Proteas in five Twenty20 internationals in the past 18 months.

Mosehle, meanwhile, has spent his entire franchise career with the Titans.

The Duduza-born wicketkeeper, also 26, was a regular in all formats for the first-class and T20 domestic champions.

He was also named man-of-the-match in the RAM SLAM T20 Final after his 87 off 39 balls took the Titans to a seven-wicket win over the Sunfoil Dolphins.

The Lions also named three nationally contracted on their books in star fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, middle-order batsman Temba Bavuma and spinner Aaron Phangiso.

Highveld Lions squad: Stephen Cook, Alviro Petersen, Hardus Viljoen, Dwaine Pretorius, Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, Eddie Leie, Dominic Hendricks, Mangaliso Mosehle, Devon Conway, Bjorn Fortuin, Nicky van den Bergh, Nono Pongolo, Sean Jamison, Matt McGillivray, Wihan Lubbe, Temba Bavuma, Kagiso Rabada, Aaron Phangiso
