Cape Town - Dolphins all-rounder Robbie Frylinck has been suspended with immediate effect and will not be playing in Friday's Momentum One Day Cup clash against the Cape Cobras at Newlands.
Dolphins CEO Pete de Wet confirmed the news to Sport24 on Wednesday afternoon.
The details surrounding the suspension are not yet known, although De Wet did say that it had "nothing at all to do" with the recent fixing crisis that has plagued South African cricket after Gulam Bodi was banned for attempting to fix matches in last year's Ram Slam T20 Challenge.
De Wet added that he was not sure how long Frylinck would be suspended for, and that the matter would be dealt with internally.
Frylinck, 31, has played in 51 first class matches, 93 list-A matches and 68 T20s.
