UAE to host Pak-Aus series

Islamabad - Pakistan has confirmed the United Arab Emirates as the venue for three one-day internationals and three Twenty20s against Australia in August.

Pakistan Cricket Board spokesperson Nadeem Sarwar said the ODIs will start at 18:00 local time to counter extreme daytime heat in the UAE while T20s begin at 20:00.

Sarwar said the matches will be played at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Pakistan has been forced to host its home matches at neutral venues since 2009 when gunmen attacked a Sri Lanka team bus.

Sarwar said the itinerary of matches against Australia will be finalized by next week.
