Johannesburg - Thami Tsolekile's amazing season in top-flight domestic cricket continued to flourish for the South Africa A side against Bangladesh A in the unofficial Test series in Bangladesh.
Tsolekile led the SA A side to a 2-0 series victory and was the leading performer with back-to-back centuries.
"We have a great squad of players on tour and they have played excellent cricket over the past two weeks.
"The wicket in the second match was spinning a bit and it was not as flat as the one in the first match, so it was a bit more difficult to bat on and I had to grind it out.
"Things have been coming right for me over the past few months, I'm only keeping it simple and enjoying my game," said Tsolekile.
The conditions in Bangladesh have been especially favourable to the batsmen, the team averaged more than 400 runs per innings, with four centurions and a host of individual scores in the nineties and eighties.
In only two innings, Tsolekile smashed 251 runs with a high-score of 140 and was the leading run-scorer for South Africa.
Alviro Peterson, who has also been in great form, finished with 248 runs with Heino Kuhn in third with 239 runs. The Standard Bank National Cricket Academy experienced mixed fortunes on their tour, and will take back many positives from the four-day match series.
Obus Pienaar and Dominic Hendricks were the only batsmen to score centuries, with Pienaar averaging 76.66 while SA U19 talent Hendricks came away with a well played hundred in his first match.
Left-arm orthodox spinner, Keshav Maharaj, appearing at home in the conditions, grabbed 13 wickets in the series.
The focus now shifts to the limited over format, for both South African touring sides. SA A will take on Bangladesh A and the West Indies A in a triangular series starting on Wednesday, while the Academy team will be looking for their first victory against their Bangladesh counterparts on Tuesday after both of their four-day matches ended in stalemates.
