Islamabad - Sharjah will host a Test match for the first time in nine years when Pakistan play Sri Lanka in November, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday.
Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates has not hosted a Test match since Pakistan took on Australia in 2002.
The PCB has allotted the other two Test matches of the series to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Sharjah will also host the fourth one-day international of a five-match series.
Sharjah has hosted 200 ODIs and has been Afghanistan's home ground since 2010.
Pakistan has not hosted any of the world's leading teams since gunmen attacked Sri Lanka's team bus in 2009.
