Cape Town - Khaya Zondo of the Dolphins has been cleared to continue bowling in domestic cricket.
Zondo was reported by the Match Officials for a suspect bowling action during the RAM SLAM T20 QUALIFIER Match between the Sunfoil Dolphins and Cape Cobras at Sahara Stadium, Kingsmead, on 09 December 2015.
He was required to submit to an independent assessment of his bowling action, in accordance with the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Bowling Actions.
The assessment was conducted by an ICC-accredited Human Movement Specialist at the Powerade CSA Centre of Excellence in Pretoria on 17 December 2015.
The analysis revealed that all his deliveries were within the 15 degrees level of tolerance for elbow extension permitted under the regulations.
He is, therefore, permitted to continue bowling in domestic cricket.
