Cape Town - Dolphins spin bowler Prenelan Subrayen has been suspended from bowling in domestic cricket with immediate effect.

Subrayen was reported by the match officials for a suspect bowling action during the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge match between the Dolphins and Titans at Supersport Park on November 1, 2015.

He was required to submit to an independent assessment of his bowling action, in accordance with the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Bowling Actions.

The assessment was conducted by an ICC-accredited Human Movement Specialist at the Powerade CSA Centre of Excellence in Pretoria on November 10.

The analysis revealed that all his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance for elbow extension permitted under the regulations. He is, therefore, suspended from bowling in domestic cricket with immediate effect.

The suspension will remain in force until Subrayen has undergone remedial work on his bowling action and has passed a re-assessment.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
