Rain the winner in Paarl

Cape Town - Rain has caused the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge match between the Cape Cobras and the Knights to be abandoned at Boland Park in Paarl on Wednesday.

Although the two captains were able to toss and name their teams, persistent rain thereafter ensured that no play was possible.

With the two teams sharing the points, the Knights moved up to second with 11 points, while the Cobras are a place behind them due to net run rate but have a game in hand.

Teams:

Cape Cobras: SA Engelbrecht, Richard Levi, Justin Ontong (captain), Andrew Puttick, Ferisco Adams, Omphile Ramela, Mthokozisi Shezi, Kieron Pollard, Dane Vilas (wk), George Linde, Dane Paterson.

Knights: Gerhardt Abrahams, Reeza Hendricks, Rudi Second (wk), Tumelo Bodibe, Diego Rosier, Andrew Russell, Obus Pienaar, Werner Coetse (capt), Quinton Friend, Malusi Siboto, Shadley van Schalkwyk.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
