Durbabn - Heavy rain in Durban forced the T20 Challenge match between the Dolphins and log-leading Highveld Lions to be abandoned at Kingsmead on Sunday.

The wash-out means that both sides share the four points on offer, with the visitors moving two points clear at the summit of the competition standings to 20 points, two clear of the Knights.

The hosts are up to 14 points, although they remain in fifth place.

The province of Kwa-Zulu Natal had been bracing itself for heavy rain from Saturday night onwards due to a forecast tropical cyclone.
