Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced three social media ambassadors for the MiWay T20 Challenge, which got underway in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday evening, with the Warriors up against the Cape Cobras.

The role of the ambassadors is to keep the hype and buzz of the tournament alive in the social media space.

CSA has chosen avid cricket fans for this initiative. They are SuperSport personality, Sasha Martinengo; actress, socialite and entertainer, Hulisani Ravele; and famous SA comedian, Joey Rasdien.

The ambassadors will travel to various MiWay T20 Challenge games, interact with fans at the stadium, and engage with friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter.

CSA Corporate Relations Manager Kass Naidoo said: “We are delighted to be working with these well known personalities during the MiWay T20 Challenge. CSA has embraced social media over the past four years and we have built up a great relationship with the online community of cricket fans.

“We currently boast over 200 000 fans on Facebook and over 40 000 followers on Twitter. We are confident this new initiative will add to the hype and buzz around cricket, and introduce new fans to the game.”
