Titans poised for victory
Pietermaritzburg - The Titans are poised for their first victory of the season against the Dolphins at the Pietermaritzburg Oval.
The Dolphins reached 266/8 at the close if play at in their second innings for an overall lead of 149 runs although they still have their leading runs scorer from the first innings, Daryn Smit, at the crease.
The Titans managed to extend their first innings lead to 117 before Heino Kuhn (90 not out off 154 balls, 8 fours) finally ran out of his last partner but not before Ethy Mbhalati had helped him add an invaluable 76 for the last wicket.
The Titans’ spinners then gradually worked their way through the Dolphins batting. Shaun von Berg (5/76) returned his best figures at franchise level and took his 100th first-class wicket in the process.
