Centurion - Ashwell Prince made 254 as the Warriors declared on 548 runs in their first innings on the second day of their Supersport Series match against the Titans at Supersport Park on Friday.
At close of play, the Titans had 151 for two in reply - trailing the Warriors by 397 runs.
Prince, who opened the batting for the Warriors in preparation for his task of opening for South Africa next week, batted for nine hours and 20 minutes as he racked up the highest score since the introduction of franchise cricket five summers ago.
It was virtually a chanceless innings, with Prince looking increasingly comfortable as the innings wore on. He was finally out after facing 356 balls when a tired shot off Ethy Mbhalati was caught at mid-wicket by Morne Morkel. He hit 28 boundaries and eight sixes.
"I really enjoyed it," said Prince. "It takes a different mindset to open - the first hour, I kept things very tight and just concentrated on survival.
"But then once 20 or so overs had been bowled, I was back in conditions more like I'm used to."
On his way to the highest score by a Warriors player, Prince was involved in five partnerships of 50 runs or more, including two century partnerships, with Mark Boucher (127) and with Johan Botha (116). Boucher and Botha both recorded half centuries, with Boucher out for 63 and Botha not out on 76.
