Desparate Lions face Dolphins

Johannesburg - The Highveld Lions hope to get their game together against the Dolphins in the SuperSport Series at the Wanderers on Thursday.

"In our last three games, we might have been a bit up and down but it was great to see that the fighting spirit remained in the team, whether it was to win a game or save it," said captain Alviro Petersen.

"Hopefully we can bring it all together this weekend as the Bidvest Wanderers always gives us the opportunity to play winning cricket," he said.

Head coach Dave Nosworthy said the team's two rain-affected matches had influenced its aims.

"I really think the guys have played some really good cricket and hopefully the weather gods will do their part this weekend," he said.

Highveld Lions:

Alviro Petersen (captain), Craig Alexander, Stephen Cook, Zander de Bruyn, Dale Deeb, Cliffe Deacon, Robbie Frylink, Paul Harris, Neil McKenzie, Ethan O'Reilly Thami Tsolekile, Aaron Phangiso, Jonathan Vandiar and Vaughn van Jaarsveld.
