East London - At the tea interval on the third day of the SuperSport cricket match between the Warriors and the Lions at Buffalo Park on Saturday, the visitors were 264 for five wickets in reply to the Warriors 532 all out scored on Friday.
The anchor of the innings has been Stephen Cook who went to his century minutes before lunch in a patient innings. At tea he was 129 not out made in close to seven and a half hours, off 313 balls with 19 fours.
He started the day at 52 along with his skipper, Neil McKenzie and both were still there at lunch in an extended morning session.
McKenzie, however, was dismissed the first ball he faced after the interval, caught behind by Arno Jacobs off Lonwabo Tsotsobe for 75 off 196 balls in well over four hours in a watchful innings.
All the bowlers have toiled in the hot sun with little success.
