Bangalore - The Chennai Super Kings have dismissed the Dolphins for 188 in 20 overs in a group encounter of the Champions League T20 to register a convincing 54-run victory in Bangalore on Monday.
Earlier, Suresh Raina smashed 90 from 43 balls to launch Chennai Super Kings to a mammoth 242 for six from 20 overs after they were sent into bat after losing the toss, reports the supersport.com website.
The 27-year old hit four boundaries and 8 sixes one of which brought up his half-century with a thunderous loft over long on, off the bowling of Khaya Zondo in the 11th over.
Raina's spectacular innings eventually came to an end when he was caught at point as he attempted to hit a full ball from far outside off stump on the leg side and got a top edge that flew high in the air.
Ravi Jadeja then continued where Raina left off and took advantage of the poor bowling on offer, helping himself to a brisk 40 from 14 balls.
