Richards, Siboto bowl Titans to innings win

Cape Town - Rowan Richards and Malusi Siboto shared six wickets as the Titans roared back from their tough start to the season with an emphatic innings and 38-run victory over the in-form Dolphins late on day three at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Saturday.

Having built a 225-run first-innings lead earlier in the day, the hosts then shot their visitors out for just 187 in 65.2 overs.

Richards ended as the pick of the bowlers with 3/37, while Siboto added 3/46. Lungi Ngidi (2/48) completed a memorable franchise debut with two more wickets for a match haul of 7/87.

Khaya Zondo was the only batsman to offer any fight with his unbeaten 68 (101 balls, 11 fours) as the Dolphins were brought back down to earth following successive wins in the opening two rounds.

Earlier in the day, the Titans lost their last five wickets for 53 runs. Robbie Frylinck (2/46) picked up two of the wickets to end as the most successful bowler for the KZN outfit.

However, their batting then imploded against the champions, who secured their first win of the season and took 19.72 points with the victory. The Dolphins managed just 4.14.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
