Budaza ended as the pick of the bowlers with 3/69, while Duanne Olivier took
lost Letlotlo Sesele for a third-ball duck, but captain Theunis de Bruyn
continued to flourish in his new role with a fine 91 (121 balls, 13 fours). He
shared in a 128-run second wicket stand with Michael Erlank, who was unbeaten
at the close on 64 (153 balls, 7 fours).
Erlank and Miller, who moved to the central franchise from the Dolphins, then added an unbroken 112 to ensure the game was in the balance.
