Cape Town - Andrea Agathangelou recorded his highest Sunfoil Series score to keep the Titans in their Sunfoil Series contest against the Knights after two days of action at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Friday.

The 28-year-old hit 80 (173 balls, 12 fours, 2 sixes) to help the visitors reach the close on 210 for five after earlier bowling out the hosts for 363.

That score was built around Grant Mokoena carrying his bat for his best franchise score of 153 (309 balls, 16 fours, 1 six).

The right-hander was on 143 when the day started out with his side on 304 for seven, but the last three wickets fell quickly thanks to Rowan Richards (4/64) and Alfred Mothoa (1/58).

Marchant de Lange struck a quick-fire 47 off 59 balls as the Knights were dismissed in 108 overs.

Agathangelou then hit his best score at franchise level in his fourth game, surpassing the 51 made against the Cobras last week, to keep his team in the game after wickets fell regularly.

Duanne Olivier (3/37) took three of them as the likes of Rivaldo Moonsamy (39) and Tony de Zorzi (33) failed to capitalise on starts.

Agathangelou's dismissal late in the day meant that Henry Davids (2) and Shaun von Berg (0) still had plenty to do with their side still 153 adrift.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
