Sri Lanka send Windies to bat

Pallekele - Sri Lanka won the toss and asked West Indies to bat in the third and final Test on Wednesday after overnight rain had delayed the start of the deciding match of the series.

Sri Lanka made one change from the drawn second test, calling up Dilhara Fernando for Nuwan Kulasekara, while the tourists made two, with Devon Smith and Nelon Pascal replacing Adrian Barath and Shane Shillingford.

The three-Test series stands is tied at 0-0 after two draws.

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara (captain), Tharanga Paranavitana, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Angelo Mathews, Prasanna Jayawardene, Dilhara Fernando, Rangana Herath, Ajantha Mendis, Suranga Lakmal.
